Much of my work is centered around the practice of storytelling. I learn a great deal from mulling over the identities of a storyteller, an audience, and the medium of a story's conveyance. In some ways, I find these variables to be more illuminating than the narrative. I believe that who or what is telling a story, to whom, and by what means is substantial and meaningful. I am curious about places and histories both personal and shared.
Frequently this means my work is steeped in the context of my home, New Orleans.
